The main bedroom in this inner city home has an adjoining deck area that is exposed to hot sun in summer. The owners were looking for a solution that brought both shade and privacy. The original light weight pergola had failed with age. Fix & Build removed the original structure and created and installed a joinery solution that is both attractive and effective. The project also included the renovation of the ensuite adjoining the main bedroom. New insulation in the walls and ceilings will also reduce heat load during summer and trap heat in winter.
